Bucky The Buckle Toy review and giveaway! CLOSED

This last year my family and I took several long road trips. Although the vacations alone were fantastic, the drive did not go as smooth. It is very hard entertaining two little ones. Even the shortest drive can lead to a major headache when my two children are in the backseat. This is why I am constantly on the look out for toys, books or activities that are easy to travel with.
Let me introduce to you "Bucky The Buckle Toy". This is a soft plush turtle which keeps your child entertained with it's interactive features. "Bucky" includes fun buckles, colors and shapes.
"Bucky The Buckle Toy's" makers say, "Playing with the child-friendly buckles and zipper improves hand-eye coordination and promotes small motor skills. The toy also has a variety of shapes and colors to enhance learning".
Review:
This is a great toy for children under the age of 4, especially for children who enjoy taking things apart and putting them back together again. Both my daughter and son have always been entertained by zippers and buckles. I have to say though, Bucky the Buckle Toy beats any shopping cart buckle, which has been known to keep my children's attention. My daughter has really enjoyed this adorable turtle. It is great for entertaining children on the road and off. Don't forget to take Bucky along with you to doctor appointments and shopping trips.

Adventures of Meno review and giveaway! CLOSED

I think I have one of the largest collections of children's books. I am constanly adding to our collection and recently I added two new books. These books are from the series of "Adventure of Meno". Here is a little more on this series and the authors.
"This six-book series about Meno, a nostalgically modern space-elf and his out-of-this-world adventures. Adventure of Meno was created by award winning author/illustrator Tony DiTerlizzi and his wife Angela. Each story is told with bright illustrations in nonsensical language, as if it were translated from Meno's Alien language into English. As childlike as they are sweet, these stories find humor in the simplest places, and are a delight to readers both young and old.
Review:
I am in love with the pictures in the Adventure of Meno series. Meno and his friends are adorable charactors. As for the story itself, my children really enjoy it. They both think Meno is a very funny. They laugh at his all of his friends and their silly names. Their favorite book is Book Two, "Wet Friend". They love all the different creatures and friends introduced in this book are so funny.
I also want to recommend that you and your child check out the official Meno site WWW.PLANETMENO.COM for more info on Meno and interactive activities.
Buy It:
You can purchase your own copies of Adventure Of Meno for $9.99 each at Borders.com
Upcoming Releases:
Two more books in the series "UH-OH SICK!" AND "YUMMY TRIP!" are set to be released on April 6, 2010.

The Spice Kitchen mega review and giveaway! CLOSED
Some of you may remember way back when I did a review for "tsp spices". This was a wonderful online store which sold a great selection of organic spices. I was lucky to try some of the spices out and loved them. Each package was the perfect amount I needed to change a basic recipe into something wonderful.
The creators of "tsp spices" are back, but this time with their cookbook, "The Spice Kitchen". The Spice Kitchen gives you hundreds of recipes using organic spices. Below is some more info on what to expect from The Spice Kitchen cookbook
"The Spice Kitchen offers fresh new ways to make everyday food more delicious and to turn your time in the kitchen into an adventure. This book contains more than 100 recipes plus a short history of the spice trade and lots of "fun facts" and spice lore. "
Review:
The Classy Closet review panel and I got the chance to review our own copy of The Spice Kitchen free. I feel in love with this cookbook as soon as I layed eyes on it. I never knew that could happen before with a cookbook, but it did. The cover was beautiful and made very durable. The inside was covered with pictures that will make your mouth water.
As for the recipes they are great. Since there are over a hundred recipes I am not even close to covering all of the book, but I can tell you that I love the Spicy Middle Eastern Chicken Skewers pg. 82. These include a mixture of wonderful spices and it taste just as good as it smells when cooking it.
Being the chicken lover that I am I also tried the Fruit Juice-Glazed Barbecued Chicken pg. 109. All I can say is "Fantastic"! Who knew barbecuing in the winter could be so fun?
If you enjoy fun facts on spices, cooking and recipes, you will enjoy this book even more. There are fun facts on every page. One I found interesting was on pg.123 about the spice "tarragon". It stated, "Tarragon has been used to cure hiccups and get rid of worms; it was also thought to cure snake bite and rabies.".
Buy It:
You can purchase "The Spice Kitchen" at their website www.tspspices.com

Bobbityboo Review!
Last years Christmas gift guide(2009) was full of wonderful stores and products. I was lucky to have two wonderful Etsy shops participate in this event. Both in which also gave me the opportunity to review an item of my choice from their store. Bobbityboo was one of these shops. I feel in love with her apron skirts and chose this adorable skirt for my daughter.

My daughter loves it, I love it and everyone else who see's it "loves the skirt"! It is made so well and the cute flower on the skirt is a pin. This allows you to easily remove the flower before washing or if you want to move the flower in a different area on the skirt. These unique and colorful skirts are so perfect for little girls.
With valentines coming up you will want to be sure to check out Bobbityboo's new creations. There are some adorable apron skirts perfect for your little girl, as well as some items for infants. I also have to mention that I find these handmade items all very affordable!

A Big "Thank You" to Bobbityboo for joining "Catch the Drift..." for the 2009 Christmas Gift Guide and the adorable apron skirt!
