Simple Green review and giveaway!!! CLOSED

One of today's biggest concerns is keeping our environment safe. For over 30 years simple green has kept our environment in mind by creating cleaning products that are non-toxic and biodegradable. Simple Green products are not only safe for your family and environment, but their products are made to to do their job at perfection. I got to put Simple Green to the test.

The Review:
Simple Green generously sent me a large box of cleaning supplies. By looking through Simple Greens site you will be able to see how many eco-friendly products they have available for you. My biggest worry before trying any cleaning product is how well they will work. It seems many cleaning products leave streaks or have very strong smells. I was relieved to see that the multi-surface cleaner cleaned wonderfully. I actually felt it cleaned better then my other multi-cleaner product. It took all water marks off of my granite and I honestly loved the smell. by the way, I had the (lemon verbena) scent. It smells fresh and more natural then other products I have used. Another product I have used often is the dish washing liquid, which cleans my pots and pans very well. The smell was maybe a little stronger then most dish soaps, which is probably my only complaint.

The other product I was actually thinking I wouldn't use in time for the review, but did twice, was the carpet cleaner. As a mom, we are constantly cleaning spells and stains left behind from our kids. I try hard to keep those stains off of my carpet, but this last week things didn't go too well. My little girl who has entered into the terrible two's snuck juice into the living room and emptied it all over the carpet. She also covered herself in juice, which put me to bathing duty and my husband to getting those stains out of the carpet. As I ran her to the tub, I yelled to my husband to use the Simple Green carpet cleaner. When I came out to check on the results I couldn't even tell where the spill was (except for where it needed to dry). Now that it's all dried you can't even see a mark. My husband was pleased with the results as well.

Overall I was very happy with Simple Green products. They clean as well if not better then other cleaners. Best of all I love how none of their products use ammonia or bleach, which sometimes over powers a fresh smell. Most importantly has to be Simply Greens focus of being environmental friendly. Several of their products have receiving the Green Seal Certification. The Green Seal certifies that Simple Green Naturals products have met product-specific performance requirements (i.e., they actually must work!), product-specific health and environmental requirements. You can read more on this under Simple Greens "press release" tab.

Yanni Voices in Concert (Review) !!!

So here it is the post I have been so excited to bring to you all. Last week I had the opportunity to go to the Yanni Voices concert, thanks to One 2 One. This was an opportunity I just couldn't turn down. I called my sister on the phone to see if she wanted to attend with me. She was as excited as I was and I have to say... We both loved it!

Before going I was most excited about hearing the beautiful voices of the singers. I had listened to their music prior to the concert and could only imagine how the voices sounded in person. Talk about talent, the vocalist were even more incredible live. The power and clearness of each voice amazed me. Listening to Yanni Voices LIVE gave me chills and confirmed to me that the vocalist were not just great recording artist. So many times it seems an artists CD sounds great and then LIVE you are left disappointed. You wonder how much they had to edit during their recording. With Yanni Voices, it's all real and I loved how each artist brought their own technique and creativeness to Yanni's songs. One of my favorite songs was sung by Leslie Mills, "When the Night Ends". Her voice almost seems to tell a story and I love the high notes in this song. She sings them in almost a whisper, but not with a strain. It is very beautiful. Another vocalist who stood out was Nathan Pacheco. This guy can hold a not forever. There is constant strength in his voice, even during his longest notes. In all honesty though, each artist brought something great to the concert.

The biggest surprise of the night was the talent of the orchestra. I have never been in such awe! I honestly went more for the voices, but gained a larger respect for all the instrumental musicians involved. It literally amazes me how Yanni hears which instruments to add and where to focus on their sounds. It is incredible how talented he is. Then there were the two main violinist... WOW! You really need to listen to these two play. I have never given a standing ovation for a violinist before and was trying to control myself from falling off my seat. Ann Marie Calhoun and Samvel Yervinyan, the violinist, were incredible.

To top things off for the night I was able to meet Yanni Voices afterwards. They were all very warm and friendly. I thought Chloe was a sweetheart and was full of energy. It was refreshing to have such a talented artist so down to earth and excited to meet everyone. Elder Thomas always made a point to listen to each of us with respect and helped make all of our experiences backstage meaningful, by giving us the attention we hoped for. Each of these artist appreciated the time we took to review the concert and for the questions we had for them.

Overall it was an amazing night and I gained a greater appreciation for all the artist who were involved. I was glad to share the experiance with my sister and meet other bloggers there. Of course it added to the event. In the picture above you will also see the Fairy Blog Mother who also attended.

OGIO "Back to School" review and giveaway!!! CLOSED

Photobucket

I was really excited to recieve my new OGIO "Mastermind" streetpack. I have been waiting for the perfect backpack to carry all my belongings in comfortably. I learned pretty quickly though that my husband was waiting for the same thing. He litterally has taken over my streetpack and is not planning on giving it back anytime soon. So I have asked him what it is that makes this OGIO streetpack so special, like I didn't already know!

My husband is having to do a lot of studying right now as he is learning a new product for work. Since home isn't the quietest place to study with two active kids, he often heads over to the library. For this reason he has a lot of items to pack, including books and his laptop. Staying organized is very important and so he appreciates all the pockets that are specified for every item you would want to pack. The Mastermind is made with at no less then ten pockets including a back panel side entry sleeve for a laptop, pockets for vertical files, tech accessories, plane tickets, and audio gear. Don't think that all the pockets take up all the room because they don't even come close. There is plenty of space in the main area. This is the perfect backpack for any college student. With all they have to carry around, including their laptops which many schools recommend, this will fit everything and still be comfortable to carry. My husband also recommends this bag as the perfect carryon. He always has to carry his laptop with him when traveling. In the past it has been a pain digging out his laptop when he reached the security check point. His favorite feature of the Mastermind has to be the easy access to his laptop. He simply unzips the back side of his backpack and pulls his laptop out of the padded sleeve.

Now that many of you or your children will be getting back in the swing of things with school soon. Be sure to check out all the backpacks OGIO has to offer. They have a large variety to give every student what they are looking for. OGIO bags are available for purchasing at www.ogio.com, www.ebags.com and stores such as Sports Authority, Gart, etc.

Eli's Lids giveaway!!! (CLOSED)

I have been waiting to post Eli's Lids giveaway for a long time now. I found this adorable store months ago and amidiatly fell in love with their hats. What makes their hats so awesome is their style. Eli's Lid's style is for the mini surfer dude, snowboarder, skater and for the little rocker. They even have hats to fit your little princess who may be a toboy at heart.

About: Kara-Noel Lawson, the founder of Eli's Lids.
"in 2006. Inspiration to start a line for boys came when my ultrasound showed a little extra something (ahem!) and I found out I was having a son. I couldn't wait to go shopping for all things little boy. I quickly discovered that baby boys get the short end of the stick when it comes to fashion and style. While moms of little girls get to adorn their daughters with baubles, bows, flowers and jewels, moms of little boys are left with powder blue puppies…ug! I searched and searched for hats, clothes, blankets, bibs...ANYTHING that would fit my family's style. My search resulted in styles that were cute, but way out of my price range. Not one to settle, I began developing my line, starting at the top with Lids! After multiple prototypes I came up with Lids for today’s hip baby."

Giveaway: One winner will be able to choose any Lid of their choice!!!

To Enter: You MUST visit Eli's Lids and looke through their store. Come back here and leave a comment telling me what you must have!
