(CLOSED) Review & Giveaway: Moon Dough

What is Moon Dough? Moon Dough is an out-of-this-world new molding dough that never dries out! Moon Dough is also Hypo-allergenic and wheat-free, soft and marshmallow-like. Moon Dough does not stick to or stain material. Because Moon Dough never dries out, kids can use it again and again. Moon Dough is the latest and greatest new molding compound for kids to sculpt into fun creations they will love to play with.

Review:
At my home, we are huge play-doh fans. Because of this we really haven't been in that big of a hurry to try anything else. However, I had heard of the latest, Moon Dough. When I was contacted about doing a Moon Dough review I knew my children would enjoy it because of it's creative nature. I personally was interested to see for myself what made this dough so unique.

We were sent the Moon Dough Barnyard kit. Just as I thought, my children both loved Moon Dough. The Barnyard kit really showed off its molding skills. The dough was extremely light and molds very well when using the molds included. Unlike play-doe Moon Dough does not stick in the moldings where you have to dig it out. This was a plus and left my children less frustrated.

The biggest plus for me was that the Moon Dough really doesn't dry out! We go through so much play-doe and having to constantly replace it can get annoying and costly. I also thought the Barnyard kit was awesome. It worked exactly how it is shown on the video. However, what isn't shown is the mess. Yes, it is quite messy and crumbles easily. After my children played with the kit I was not looking forward to the cleanup. I was surprised at how easy the cleanup really was. Since Moon Dough is not sticky at all like play-doh, the Moon Dough remains were easily wiped off the table and swept up. Even the small amount that my children managed to get on our living room carpet was picket up by the vacuum no problem (They even smooshed it on the carpet pretty good).

One lucky winner will win the Moon Dough Barnyard Kit

Review:
I was very excited to hear that Nora Jones had a new album coming out. I was very interested to hear the variety of music and artist who were included on this album. I was surprised to find one of my favorite songs was "Creepin' In" featuring Dolly Parton. I have never really been a huge Dolly Parton fan, but with the soul of Nora Jones voice you can almost enjoy any song.

I can't say that I enjoyed everyone of the songs, especially since some of the styles brought in weren't necessarily to my personal liking. However, there was a great mix which allows everyone a chance to find several songs they can enjoy. This cd just comes to show what great talent Nora Jones truely has.

(CLOSED) Christmas Gift Guide Review/Giveaway: My Cute Dressups

When deciding what to include on the Christmas Gift Guide, I often go by what my own children want for christmas or what they have loved receiving in past years. My daughter thinks she is a real life princess and feels she could always use a new gown to dress up in. I know many little girls feel this same way and as a mom I know how fun it is to watch your child dressup and and let their imagination take them to where ever it is they want to be.

I was excited to have found the perfect online store which focuses only on dress ups. My Cute Dressups is filled with some of the cutest dress ups for girls, boys and even adults. What really stood out is that ALL of the Costumes and tutus are machine washable. If you are buying dress ups for a child it is likely that they are going to get them dirty and unless it can be washed and hold its quality, it isn't going to be worth your money.

The Review:
My daughter and I decided to go with the Parisian Princess Costume. This dress is beautiful. The fabric and quality is some of the best I have seen from costumes and I was not suprised to learn it was a Little Adventure brand costume. I checked out My Cute Dressup's site again and noticed all of their costumes are the Little Adventure brand. No wonder I feel in love with so many of them.

To add to the excitement even more, My Cute Dressups also has matching dressed for dolls size 18 inch. My Cute Dressups is bound to make your little one's Christmas special.

(CLOSED) Christmas Gift Guide Review/Giveaway: Elfing Around

This is one of our family's favorite traditions during the Christmas season. Actually last year was the first year we invited two elves from the North Pole, AKA Elfing Around, to our home. My children are still talking about the elves and waiting for their next visit this December.

About the visit:
One December morning my children woke up to find two little visitors under the Christmas tree. The elves came with a letter for each child introducing themselves and the importance of their visit. My children welcomed the elves with opened arms. Each night my children would place the elves under the tree and in the morning we would all run to see what mischief the two elves created. One morning we woke up with large marshmallows everywhere (the elves had a snowball fight) and another morning we woke up with underwear all over the tree since the elves took it as part of their duty to decorate our tree extra special.

My children were very sad Christmas Eve night when they had to say goodbye to their new friends. However, on several holidays and around the time of the children's birthdays the elves send each of them postcards. The magic of the elves still continued throughout the year.

Buy It:
