The Spice Kitchen mega review and giveaway! CLOSED

Some of you may remember way back when I did a review for "tsp spices". This was a wonderful online store which sold a great selection of organic spices. I was lucky to try some of the spices out and loved them. Each package was the perfect amount I needed to change a basic recipe into something wonderful.

The creators of "tsp spices" are back, but this time with their cookbook, "The Spice Kitchen". The Spice Kitchen gives you hundreds of recipes using organic spices. Below is some more info on what to expect from The Spice Kitchen cookbook

"The Spice Kitchen offers fresh new ways to make everyday food more delicious and to turn your time in the kitchen into an adventure. This book contains more than 100 recipes plus a short history of the spice trade and lots of "fun facts" and spice lore. "

Review:
The Classy Closet review panel and I got the chance to review our own copy of The Spice Kitchen free. I feel in love with this cookbook as soon as I layed eyes on it. I never knew that could happen before with a cookbook, but it did. The cover was beautiful and made very durable. The inside was covered with pictures that will make your mouth water.

As for the recipes they are great. Since there are over a hundred recipes I am not even close to covering all of the book, but I can tell you that I love the Spicy Middle Eastern Chicken Skewers pg. 82. These include a mixture of wonderful spices and it taste just as good as it smells when cooking it.

Being the chicken lover that I am I also tried the Fruit Juice-Glazed Barbecued Chicken pg. 109. All I can say is "Fantastic"! Who knew barbecuing in the winter could be so fun?

If you enjoy fun facts on spices, cooking and recipes, you will enjoy this book even more. There are fun facts on every page. One I found interesting was on pg.123 about the spice "tarragon". It stated, "Tarragon has been used to cure hiccups and get rid of worms; it was also thought to cure snake bite and rabies.".

Buy It:
You can purchase "The Spice Kitchen" at their website www.tspspices.com

main entry: I think the spice collection called"Sun Shine" would be a good starting kit because alot of reciepes both side dishes/meats and deserts call for those 2 main spices of lemon zest & orange zest and I like that its organic meaning its pure which would reveal a great taste and healthy that would make a great gift for anyone to start their spice collection, thanks
