Noodles & Company review!

My family and I recently made a trip to Noodles & Company. I was a little worried to tell my husband that we were going out for pasta since he is not the biggest pasta fan. Surprisingly he was excited. He was already a fan of Noodle & Company and has used them to feed offices for his work. I however have not eaten at Noodles & Company for about five years so I was excited to try their new dish and find what is new on their menu.

As hard as it is to get your kids to eat their vegetables such as spinach and asparagus, Noodles & Company does a great job at disguising these with their pastas and excellent flavor. You also have the option to add chicken, beef, shrimp or tofu which of course will give you and your child that much needed protein. As for the adults who are watching their weight Noodles & Company will provide you with nutritional facts so that you can find meals that can fit into your diet. Not only do they provide soups and salads but they even have meals under 400 calories, meals for those watching sodium and carbs listed for you to choose from under their nutrition link on their site.

We ordered the NEW Asparagus & Lemon Linguine dish on top of some other great pasta selections. The Asparagus & Lemon Linguine is packed with flavor. They include basil, feta cheese and fresh squeezed lemon juice. To provide plenty of vegetables and extra nutrition this dish includes asparagus, snap peas, mushrooms and wheat linguine. My husband who loves asparagus loved this dish and my kids loved eating the snap peas.

So on your next family outing, stop by Noodles & Company. There is something for everyone and you can even sneak in those good vegetables and proteins that your children won't eat when cooked alone. Even you spouse who doesn't care much for pasta may even find something they enjoy. Even better, the prices are great and their servings plentiful.

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Noodles & Company and received five Noodles & Company bowl cards to facilitate my review. Mom Central also sent me a thank-you gift certificate. I assure you though that these opinions are true opinions and were not influenced by Mom Central or Noodles and Company.

The Adventure of Daniel Boom aka Loud Boy Book #4: Grow Up! REVIEW and GIVEAWAY! CLOSED

Of course we are all excited for summer and the break we will have from school and homework. However, this does not mean we should allow our children to slack on their reading. This is why we need to help them find books that they can enjoy and will want to pick to see what happens next. This series I am about to introduce to you is one of those books.

"The Adventure of Daniel Boom aka Loud Boy is a series filled with storylines that are bursting with superheroes, belly laughs and action packed adventure and is critically acclaimed by numerous education and library trade publications. Author D.J. Steinberg’s writing is smart and funny with puns a-plenty and the kid-friendly graphic novel format is ideal for middle graders and reluctant readers."

The Adventure of Daniel Boom aka Loud Boy Book #4: Grow Up! Introduction:
Loud boy and his friends are in trouble again. This is the adventure to end all adventures, as cheif bad guy doctor doctor comes out of hiding to put an end to his young nemeses once and for all.

Review:
Although my son is only five years old, I knew this would be a book he enjoyed. My son loves superheroes and I felt he would enjoy the fact that the heroes were children like himself. I was very excited to get the latest book of the series "The Adventure of Daniel Boom aka Loud Boy book #4: Grow Up!.

Of course "mother knows best" and my son has loved this book. I was very happy to see that it was written with a comic strip feel (My son really enjoys reading these types of books). Both my son and I found it funny how Daniel Boom and his friends use their bad habits and/or behavior to save the world. It shows that you can take those weaknesses and turn them around to do something good for yourself and others. The book is very creative and entertaining. There is also some suspense which kept my son guessing what would happen next. After reading book #4 my son is excited to go back and have me read books 1-3 to him. I already planned on making this purchase since this will be a great book for my son to go back and read himself once he gets older.
