One thing I don't talk too much about on my blog is religion. It is not because I am not religious, because I am. I just realize that there are so many views on religion and realize that good people can come from all aspects of religions and beliefs. I admire everyone who holds standards and values and also lives them regardless of what they are. Being that they don't hurt themselves or others.
Today though I have the opportunity to share with everyone something I do cherish in my life and that is my faith in God. I do believe in a higher power and consider myself a strong christian. As many of us know, once our week begins we are running place to place and our mind is racing none stop. This makes it really easy for us to forget about the things that are most important to us. This is why I love Sundays. Not only do I make Sunday the day for my family and I to be together without allowing other things get in the way, but it is also the day I really get to meditate and give thanks to the God that has provided me with so many blessings. One way I put my thoughts in the right place is by choosing to play uplifting and christian based music in my home on Sundays. I would love to share with you one of the groups of musicians I enjoy listening to, Heartbound.
Heartbound is a trio who sings and composes inspirational music. Their music and stories have been heard throughout the US in several types of events such as; Carnival Cruise, American Mothers Inc. Conventions, World Senior Games, Franklin Covey, Tahitian Noni, Conferences for women's and youth organizations, business luncheons, private galas and coast to coast motivational programs
"They have been singing together for more than 20 years. As best friends they found that singing together consumes fewer calories than going to lunch regularly. Between them they have been married for a combined 89 years, have mothered 13 children, 6 adorable grandchildren and enjoy the support of their terrific families. Like you, they live in the real world…They've experienced the joys of life as well as heartaches and disappointments."
"The group writes their own lyrics and composes their own music bringing a distinctive brand of joy, peace, and hope to their audiences. They have produced a total of 9 cds
and 2 Songbooks.
"Heartbound's mission statement reads..."Reaching out with music to speak to the soul, give hope to the heart, and spread joy for the journey." Their hope is that you will feel this as you experience their music." Review:I have had the opportunity to review Heartbound's newest released cd "Arise". This cd is filled with both songs that praise our God and country. Many of the songs you will be familiar with but you will also enjoy the new unique sound that is created by the musical trio. Some of these songs are “I Can Only Imagine,” “How Great Thou Art,” and “Ave Maria". I Personally love the song "How Great Thou Art". The words are so powerful and it is easy to feel the passion and importance of the song through the singers voices.
Giveaway:2 winners will win their own copy of "Arise".
