Michael Buble "Crazy Love" review!

I had heard of Michael Buble before and did enjoy of his songs "Everything" and "Home", but for some reason I never really looked into any of his other work. When One2One contacted me about reviewing his newest cd, "Crazy Love", I was interested. I knew several of the songs he chose for this album, such as"Georgia On My Mind". I loved the variety of eras he chose to spotlight and figured I would probably appreciate the cd. I agreed to do the review and was sent my own free copy of "Crazy Love" to review.

Ok, so I didn't just enjoy this cd, I LOVED it! Why I hadn't become a fan sooner beats me. Michael Buble has one of the sexiest voices around. His voice is also very mesmerizing. His latest cd, "Crazy Love" was released October 9th. Each song seems to speak to the helpless romantic in me. One of my favorite songs is "Haven't Met You Yet".


I highly recommend this cd to anyone. Below is a list of the songs included on "Crazy Love".

Joshua Bell review and giveaway! CLOSED

Joshua Bell's "At Home With Friends" was recently released on September 29. Some of you may or may not have heard of the Grammy Award-winning violinist. I have to be honest, that I had never heard of Joshua Bell before this opportunity, but after looking through the list of songs and the other artist involved I was excited to get my hands on a copy. This beautiful music included a great mix of classical, broadway, jazz and ethnicity. One of my personal favorites was “Eleanor Rigby” featuring Fankie Moreno. I am a huge Beatles fan and love hearing how different artist portray their songs. I thought the classical twist was very relaxing and entertaining.

I think anyone who is a fan of these classic songs as well as classical music, will enjoy Joshua Bell's cd.

Brandi Carlile "Give Up The Ghost" review

Brandi Carlile “Give Up The Ghost” is a wonderful new cd recently released in September. It is said that "If you like KT Tunstall, Indigo Girls, Missy Higgins and Rachael Yamagata then you will LOVE Brandi Carlile". I use to listen to Indigo Girls and enjoyed their tunes. I can't say I have heard these other artist, but will say after listening to "Give Up the Ghost" I am going to check them out. This wonderful new release is full soulful music with a mix of indie, folk and pop. I love Brandi Carlile's voice and the lyrics she uses in her songs. I give this cd 5 out of 5 stars. I truly love it!

Yanni Voices in Concert (Review) !!!

So here it is the post I have been so excited to bring to you all. Last week I had the opportunity to go to the Yanni Voices concert, thanks to One 2 One. This was an opportunity I just couldn't turn down. I called my sister on the phone to see if she wanted to attend with me. She was as excited as I was and I have to say... We both loved it!



Before going I was most excited about hearing the beautiful voices of the singers. I had listened to their music prior to the concert and could only imagine how the voices sounded in person. Talk about talent, the vocalist were even more incredible live. The power and clearness of each voice amazed me. Listening to Yanni Voices LIVE gave me chills and confirmed to me that the vocalist were not just great recording artist. So many times it seems an artists CD sounds great and then LIVE you are left disappointed. You wonder how much they had to edit during their recording. With Yanni Voices, it's all real and I loved how each artist brought their own technique and creativeness to Yanni's songs. One of my favorite songs was sung by Leslie Mills, "When the Night Ends". Her voice almost seems to tell a story and I love the high notes in this song. She sings them in almost a whisper, but not with a strain. It is very beautiful. Another vocalist who stood out was Nathan Pacheco. This guy can hold a not forever. There is constant strength in his voice, even during his longest notes. In all honesty though, each artist brought something great to the concert.

The biggest surprise of the night was the talent of the orchestra. I have never been in such awe! I honestly went more for the voices, but gained a larger respect for all the instrumental musicians involved. It literally amazes me how Yanni hears which instruments to add and where to focus on their sounds. It is incredible how talented he is. Then there were the two main violinist... WOW! You really need to listen to these two play. I have never given a standing ovation for a violinist before and was trying to control myself from falling off my seat. Ann Marie Calhoun and Samvel Yervinyan, the violinist, were incredible.



To top things off for the night I was able to meet Yanni Voices afterwards. They were all very warm and friendly. I thought Chloe was a sweetheart and was full of energy. It was refreshing to have such a talented artist so down to earth and excited to meet everyone. Elder Thomas always made a point to listen to each of us with respect and helped make all of our experiences backstage meaningful, by giving us the attention we hoped for. Each of these artist appreciated the time we took to review the concert and for the questions we had for them.


Overall it was an amazing night and I gained a greater appreciation for all the artist who were involved. I was glad to share the experiance with my sister and meet other bloggers there. Of course it added to the event. In the picture above you will also see the Fairy Blog Mother who also attended.

Diane Birch CD Review!

One2One Network gave me the opportunity to review Diane Birch's debut album "Bible Belt". Since I am I am a huge music fan I am very critical when it comes to music. If the music doesn't have an effect on me, then you can bet I will tell you. I have took singing for years and learned music was a way to not only express myself, but I also also used music as a source of meditation and soul searching. Basically music surrounds my family throughout the day, wether in the car or in our home. We love music.

I immediately feel in love with Diane's voice. Her voice is full of soul and I would have to compare her to Nora Jones and Joss Stone. Like I mentioned earlier, I enjoy songs that can reach me and get me thinking. Diana Birch's music is deep and the words trigger you to think and relate to your own personal experiences. Tiffany Giardina "No Average Angel" review!

Recently I was asked to be head of a review panel at The Classy Closet. If you haven't made your way over to The Classy Closet the time is now. This is a great place to meet other bloggers who have similar interest and a great place to find great parties. One thing new that we offer as panelist is video blogs. This is a little new to me, but I am sure as time goes on these videos will get a little better.

Fireflies Musical Yoga review and giveaway!

I am so excited to have the opportunity to share this music with you and your family. My kids and I were recently introduced to Fireflies Musical Yoga for Kids. We have made a point to turn this music on at least once a day. If I happen to forget my little girl won't. She will walk over to the CD player and point to it until I turn the Fireflies Musical Yoga on. Our favorite song is "Dance for the Sun". My son loves when it sings, "Feet jump back just like a frog". He thinks it is so funny to jump like a frog. My daughter is one years old and really can only do the "downward dog" pose, but she loves watching me and my son practice the yoga moves and tries her hardest to dance with the music. Fireflies Musical Yoga has given me the opportunity to practice healthy yoga moves with my kids and given us the quality time that we are always trying to find.
I love working out, or I try to love working out. I have never gotten into yoga, but when you are doing it with your kids it is so fun. I was a little nervous since I wasn't all too familiar with it, but with the CD they included a booklet with little drawings which gave you visual examples of the poses. It was also very helpful that they included a live versions of the songs in the CD. These versions have Kira, the music artist, walking through the moves of the song and explaining the poses.

Kira Willey began playing violin at the age of five. As an adult she taught herself guitar and mandolin, and has been writing songs from the time she was a teenager.
