These colorful vintage aprons may just solve that problem. New clothes and accessories always do! On a serious note though, these aprons really are hot. Carolyn's has combined the 1940's look with her own modern design. Carolyn said, "I wanted to bring back the glamour, sexiness, and cuteness of a bygone innocent era. The gloves and fabrics are new and nicer - it's a new and improved version of the '40's."

These aprons can make great gifts, especially for that Bride To Be. There is a not only a great selection of different styles of aprons, but Carolyn's Kitchen also has some fun accessories. You can find matching garters and dish gloves.

Peace Love Mom review and giveaway! CLOSED

I love comfy tee's. In fact, I seem to only have a few select favorites and I wear them constantly throughout the week. I just love feeling comfortable. What's even better is when you can get comfort and style out of the same shirt. I recently added another favorite tee to my collection. This is the Lucky Mom Soft Tee from Peace Love Mom. This tee is 100% cotton and is very soft. Unlike most tee's, Peace Love Mom makes their tee's with length and they have little or no shrinkage. I cannot tell you how many times I buy shirts that barley hit my waist line and constantly want to roll over my unflattering belly. Even worse is when you buy a tee at the perfect length and when you accidental put it in the dryer. Basically, I won't be wearing that shirt anymore. Peace Love Mom makes their shirts to flatter us mommies.

I also had the opportunity to review Peace Love Mom's hats. This is the perfect casual hat. I will be making much use of it this summer. Every mom needs to own at least one hat and why not make it a Peace Love Mom hat with a great message for moms. Peace Love Mom stands out above the rest because of their message they share. I love being a mom. Everyday I find moments that I look at my kids realize what blessings they are in my life. I am a "Lucky Mom" and my tee says just that, but in a stylish way of course. Peace Love Mom's tees, hats and other accessories all share similar messages

Peace Love Mom was started by 3 different moms who had the same goal to create a celebration of motherhood. They realize there are all types of mothers and appreciate the uniqueness and skills each mom can offer. On their "About Us" page you will find a great list of why we celebrate motherhood. This is their "Language of Motherhood". This is a must read and I feel it really defines our love, hopes and dreams as a mother. Here is a small portion of what they had to say.

"We believe that motherhood is empowering.
Motherhood is inspiring.
We believe in a true collaboration and celebration of motherhood.
Mothers are proud to be mom."

Discount: Peace Love Mom is offering all Catch the Drift.. readers a DISCOUNT that will give you FREE SHIPPING on orders over $20 in the continental US.
Use Code: SNOW09

Giveaway: Peace Love Mom will be giving one reader their own "Lucky Mom" Soft Tee.

You Can Make This...(The Name Pillow) review/giveaway! CLOSED

I have been very excited to share with you this next giveaway. I have been a fan of "You Can Make This" for a while now. I am always eyeing their shop and the variety of projects they have available. I don't even know where to start with what they have available. Their is sewing, graphics, photography, shoes... I could go on and on. You can find practically anything you are wanting to find instruction and directions for. This site is a MUST SEE!

I was recently contacted by Courtney, from "You Can Make This" about spotlighting their favorite book, The Personalized Name Pillow pattern. Because of timing and my overbooked schedule, I informed them I would not be able to make the pillow at this time. They were very generous and still sent me a copy to have. Let me assure you, I will be making these when I have a moment to spare. The Personalized Name Pillow is super cute and I feel confident I can accomplish this project from the easy detailed instructions.

I am no pro-seamstress, but I do love to sew. I have made bedding and costumes for my family. Being the visual person that I am I seem to struggle following written instructions. I am always wishing they would use better and more pictures. You Can Make This uses "Real" photos of their step by step instructions. It is so nice to really see and understand what the instructions are trying to say. If you are worried about the letters for your name turning out right, don't worry. There is a patter for each letter provided in the book, which is available to print as the actual needed size. You cannot mess up "You Can Make This" patterns. These books are made for the least experienced and the struggling seamstress like myself.

The Giveaway:
You Can Make This is really feeling generous these days as they are also offering two readers "The Personalized Name Pillow" book. Yes, 2 winners!!!

To Enter: You must visit "You Can Make This" or "You Can Quilt This" and find other patterns you are interested in. Then come back here to comment on what you found.

Bonus Entries:
-Tell me how many children you will be making these adrable Personalized Name Pillows for!

Modbe Swimsuit review!

Remember a while back the great giveaway we hosted for Modbe? Since then I've been dying to get my hands on one of their cute swimsuits. It took me a while to decide from all the great choices which one I wanted. Once chosen, I anxiously waited for my suit to be delivered. I chose the Knot Top Solid Blue and the Black Polka dot bottoms. I received it right before my cruise and was so excited to put it on. This swimsuit is awesome and I love the adjustable cinchable side ruching. Not only does it look stylish, but it covers up my mommy tummy. I also liked how the swimsuit was long enough to cover those lovely stretch marks on my belly (I really do love my kiddo's ;0)). I felt so comfortable wearing it and I did not have to feel overly cautious about showing too much of my imperfect body. This is NOT one of those swimsuits that will slowly move up over your belly without you knowing. It stays where it is suppose to. Even my upper body above the waist stayed where I wanted it to. This swimsuit had a shelf bra with an underwire for support. Seriously, what else could I ask for.

All of Modbe's swimsuits are made to cover those areas you may feel uncomfortable in showing the world. They are made to last and you won't be dissapointed. Summer is just around the corner and you don't want to be left with slim pickings in the swimsuit department. This is the mistake I make each year. I wait until last minute and then all is sold out or what is left leaves me wanting to purchase more to cover it up at the pool.

Enjoy your summer and while your thinking about all the fun in the sun, go check out Modbe swimwear. If you have any questions you can contact Jillian Smith (jillyansmith@hotmail.com), Modbe consultant, for more info on Modbe Clothing.

Slim Perfect Review and Giveaway!

So let's be honest with ourselves, "How hard is it really to find activewear we really feel comfortable in?". Of course we want something that is easy to move in and covers our areas that we may feel needs some tucking in. But we don't want something that covers us so much we can't breath or too tight that it makes you feel uncomfortable and makes those extra rolls of skin hang over where it shouldn't. Same goes for swimsuits!
I had the opportunity to review Slim Perfect Swimwear and Activewear. I decided on the SlimSkirt and the Tankini. All of their pieces are designed to compliment every body type. Because of my short waist, I tend to carry all my weight in my belly, so anything that says it will hide those extra pounds I'll try. When I received my package my mom was over visiting. I decided to try it on for her and see what her opinion was. Both my mom and I loved how both pieces looked. The Tankini had a tummy tamer lining inside which really does help hold and support you. There is also gel-bra cups which I was sure would make me look way to huge on my already busty top. I planned on taking them out right away since they can be removed from the sewn in pockets. I tried it on with them anyway and guess what? My saggy mommy breast looked perky and young again. These defiantly worked how they were suppose to. They are staying in!
I truly recommend Slim Perfect. I absolutely love how their pieces are versatile. I have used my Slim Perfect attire for both the gym and swimming. They have worked wonderfully for both. Slim Perfect's activewear and swimwear is made in the USA and it's sizes run from 8-18.

Giveaway: One winner can choose to have either a SlimDress OR top & a bottom.

To Enter: Go to Slim Perfect and look around. Then come back here and tell me what you would like.

Bebe and Alice Review and Giveaway! (CLOSED)

This giveaway is part of the Bloggy Carnival ! Be sure to check out other great giveaways there!

I am so excited about the Bebe and Alice giveaway. I first want to share with you what a wonderful person Heather, the Bebe and Alice owner, is. She has been great to work with and I am sure she gives all of her customers the same care.
Bebe and Alice has a wonderful selection. Heather sent me a Lavender Bird. The Lavender Birds are stuffed with Lavender and polyfill. They smell wonderful! I attached a ribbon to mine and hung it in my Laundry room. It is so cute. These birds can also be used to help your wardrobe or car smelling wonderful! Right now Bebe and Alice's Etsy Store has Lavender Lovebird's for Valentines Day. These are a must see.
I don't want to forget to mention how the package arrived. When I opened the box I found a smaller box with a cute tag attached to it. I had to take a picture of her wonderful packaging. I feel comforted to know that Bebe and Alice mail their items ready to be presented. You don't have to worry how it will arrive when sending an order as a gift.

Heather first began to teach herself how to sew when her husband presented her with a sewing machine for Christmas several years ago. Her sister then asked her if she could sew a slipcover for a vintage ottoman. Heather agreed and it turned out beautifully.

Heather's first stock of aprons were sold at a private school fundraise where she doated 25% of total sales to the school. She sold almost all of them. This is where her journey began and developed into her own bussiness selling not only aprons but bags, shopping and shoulder bags, children’s clothing, hats, plush toys, and more! One of Heathers favorite creations are her custom orders using sentimental fabrics. Some examples are when a mom may want to use some saved fabric from her bridesmaid dresses from her wedding to create something for her daughter. Or a grandmother may have some vintage fabric from her mother's stash that she wants me to make aprons for all her grown daughters. Heather can also make girls halter dresses from men's dress shirts. These are called "The Shirt Off Dad's Back" . These seem to be some of her most loved creations.
Heather also like to include little “flower” pins (brooches) with each purchase or whatever she has on hand…no requests.

Discount: Bebe and Alice is giving all Catch the Drift readers FREE SHIPPING on any order with the code “snow” added to the message line of the purchase. She will refund the shipping cost after purchase via Paypal.

Giveaway: One winner will recieve this Bebe and Alice's children aprons. The measurements are: 10" across, 20" apron strings, and 15" long. Size 3/4.
(I must also mention that there is a matching adult apron to go with this smaller version. This makes the perfect Mommy and Me apron set! You can find this item as her store.)

To Enter: You must visit Bebe and Alice then come back here to tell me your favorite item!
