Time off....

I am so excited to say I am officially taking the a break to enjoy my Holiday Season with my cute family. I will be back sometime in January, probably the second week. I still have some work ahead of me but am excited to show you what I have been cooking up in my creative mind.

The Sound of Music "Mega Review" and Giveaway!!! CLOSED

As I have mentioned before in the past, I love music and I love theater. Growing up I involved myself in these things. My very first musical production I played Leisl in "The Sound of Music". This is such a classic and one I hold very close to my heart. I love the story and especially the music. This is one musical I have already shared with my own children.

I was recently contacted about doing a review on the "50th Anniversary Special Edition of the Original Cast Recording: The Sound Of Music along with Simon & Schuster’s The Sound of Music Pop up Book. Even though I wasn't going to do anymore reviews the rest of the year, I just couldn't pass this one up. I and several other Classy Closet members on The Classy Closet review panel were included on this review.




Review:
The original cast recording was fantastic. My children love the music, although I already knew they would. It is great to have these songs I grew up with, in my home to share with my children. What my absolute favorite product is though, is The Sound of Music: Pop-Up Collectible Book. My children love the pages and the beautiful pop ups included. Each page also includes smaller pages with even more pop-ups. You can also find the words included to the songs, so that you can sing along with the cd. My children and I have loved reading this book and singing the songs together. I would love to get a copy for my mom who also loves The Sound of Music.

Many of the winter dresses reminded me of the picture perfect little girls dress with ruffles, buttons and bows. I had to go with the Kayla Corduroy Dress though. I feel in love with it right away and imagined how cute it would look with black boots and a big black or red bow!

The dress is adorable. I love the simple style and the perfect girly design that was used. Although my daughter does normally wear a 2T the dress did run a little shorter than most dresses she owns. I maybe would recommend ordering a size larger with this dress. I still kept the dress though because it looks great with black leggings. I was very happy with it. I also learned that you can get size information on any specific products by simply clicking the "ask a question about this product" link on the product page. It is nice to know that Bei Bambini is willing to work with each customer to provide them with what they want and need.

Kernel Seasons Review (Christmas Gift Guide)

Kernel Season's began in the college dorm room of Brian Taylor at the University of Michigan. He said, "I made popcorn every night and created my own personal spice blends to toss into it. Friends and fellow students loved it. People came knocking on the door asking for the special seasonings. I contacted a team of flavor experts with over 50 years of experience to help perfect the seasonings. We tweaked the flavors for over two years until they were just right."

I was very excited when Kernel Season's agreed to have me review their products. My husband and I are huge popcorn lovers and I was very interested to see how Kernal Season's would change the taste of our popcorn. I have always been a fan of flavored popcorn, however my husband is not. I knew my husband would very hard to please.

Review:
Kernal Seasons sent an assortment of popcorn flavors , a 1 lb. Popcorn Pouch of raw popcorn kernels and the new butter flavored Popcorn Spritzer all free to try out. All popcorn flavors are all natural, low fat and low calorie, which is always a plus. The Popcorn Spritzer is used to help the popcorn seasoning stick to air popped popcorn. It works great.




I have loved testing the popcorn flavors out. Although I have enjoyed them all, I do have my favorites. I am a cheese person, so it is no surprise that the "White Cheddar" and "Nacho Cheddar" are my favorites. I also love to mix these with a bit of the "Butter Seasoning". There is a flavor that everyone will love. As for my husband, I was a little worried what he would say. Surprisingly he too has enjoyed trying out the variety of flavors. He maybe doesn't like to load on the seasonings as much as I do, but he does agree it adds to the flavor. Since he is more of a salty person he prefers the "Butter" and "Sour Cream and Onion". He would probably also love the "Salt", but since we weren't provided with that as a sample, we will have to go get it ourselves at a local store. I am very excited to test it out.

You can find Kernel Season's at several local grocery and retail stores. In fact, the other day I saw them at "Bed Bath and Beyond". You can also purchase their products online at KernelSeasons.com .

If you choose to purchase any of Kernel Season's products, I recommend you go to their website to find a selection of recipes for each flavoring. You will also find that these Kernel Season's flavors can be used on just more than popcorn. Yet again, another plus since you can find multiple uses for these. Why did I choose Kernel Season's for this year Christmas Guide?
I am always looking for unique gifts. I though the Kernel Season's flavors would make an excellent neighbor gift. Just purchase an assortment of flavors or a handful of your favorite and some packs of microwave popcorn. Hasbro Toys reviews and giveaway! (Christmas Guide)

Hasbro brings you and your family several products that will bring smiles to your faces. They have games to bring you closer together and toys to educate and entertain your children. As you look through Hasbro's site you will find several toys you loved growing up, which you can share with your children. I appreciate the fact that Hasbro not only keeps the classic toys around, but they are also coming out with new and improved toys.

Hasbro offered me to review any toy of my choice free. They were very helpful as they guided me to toys that would fit my children's ages and which were top sellers. I went with a few toys they recommended and was pleased with their helpful insight and their communication. Know that I have worked with them personally with this gift guide, I have even more confidence in Hasbro as a company.

My children and I reviewed the following toys:


"MR. POTATO HEAD FRYER FIGHTER" (Approx Retail Price: $9.99 each)-
Fryer Fighter is one of the MR. POTATOE HEADs newest additions. This is one of those classic toys that will be around for a long time. Surprisingly, I never grew up with a MR. POTATOE HEAD so I was really excited to finally see what all the fuss was about. My youngest who is 2, loves to put piece the MR. POTATOE HEAD together. My son who is 4 also enjoys joining in on the fun. He constantly ask for more pieces so that he can create new faces. With it being such a reasonable price for extra assortments, I feel it is worth adding to. I also fell purchasing a second Mr. Potatoe head well worth it. This is a toy that can really help develop your childs imagination.

KOTA & PALS Stompers DINOSAURS (Approx. Retail Price: $24.99)-
Knowing how big dinosaurs are with little boys I had to select the Kota & Pals Stompers Dinosaurs. I have actually been eyeing these dinos for some time and have seen them at several retail stores.
KOTA & PALS stompers was a hit. My son loves how the dinosaur becomes alive as it walks and roars. The triceratops, which we received, has become my sons little buddy. He constantly brings him in our car and talks to the triceratops as we travel. Now that we have a little dinosaur living in our home, my son loves learning more about dinosaurs, what they eat and where they cam from. This has become a great opportunity to teach him.

PLAY-DOH BURGER BUILDER (Approx. Retail Price: $14.99)-
Both my children love PLAY-DOH. They also both love hamburgers and enjoy helping me in the kitchen. I was pretty sure they would be huge fans of this newest PLAY-DOH accessory. Of course they were.
This has become a toy we pull out everyday. With the weather getting cold it is hard to stay entertained in doors for long. I am happy to say that the PLAY-DOH BURGER BUILDER has made this much easier. My children can sit and play with it for about an hour or more. I am then able to get things done or enjoy pretending with them as they make their hamburgers and potatoe chips.
