Wii "JumpStart Pet Rescue" Giveaway! CLOSED (Christmas Guide)

Photobucket

When welcoming in the winters holiday seasons, we also have to welcome in the cold weather. Where I live, this means snow and lots of it! Time outside is limited and so with being indoors so much you may begin to feel cooped up. For this reason, I wanted to find some great indoor activities for children. When considering these items for this year’s Christmas Gift Guide, I also found it important to find games and actitivies that were educational. This is why I included JumpStart.

My son and I were introduced to JumpStart earlier this year. JumpStart is an interactive world online in which your children can explore. Included in this interactive world are several activities for your child. All of which can help develop important skills in your child. I also liked the fact that it was a safe way for my child to work on their basic computer skills. My son, who was three at the time, was able to learn how to use the mouse and arrow keys on the computer.

I was recently contacted by JumpStart and informed of their newly released wii game, JumpStart Pet Rescue. Sadly I don’t have a wii to test this game out, but because I am familiar with JumpStarts interactive site, I am confident their wii game is just as wonderful. Here is a brief description of what JumpStart Pet Rescue has to offer.

JumpStart Pet Rescue contains 5 Discovery worlds where Preschoolers navigate through 5 stories in a search for lost pets. Each Discovery world contains a guided story told by one of the JumpStart friends, leading children on a learning adventure through more than 70 learning lessons and activities that teach kids over 75 essential skills they need to succeed. As kids progress through the adventures, they improve their pre-reading skills, memory, creativity, motor skills, listening,
and much more!”

Walmart and Best Buy are closest to me but since they are 90 minutes away, I would probably order from Amazon.com where I do most of my shopping.

My favorite holiday tradition is color coded socks for my 3 girls. Blue for the oldest, Red for the middle one, and Pink for the youngest (used to be purple but she switched a few years ago) I did this when they were young to stop the fights over which socks were whos and always got them a dozen new ones at christmas. Then when they got older and I thought they were too old I didn't buy any one christmas and they were devestated when they finished unwrapping and were "where are our socks?" So I started it up again but only a few not a dozen at a time. For this year I have already bought them each 3 pairs of fuzzy socks, they are polka dotted in 2 shades of blue, two shades of pink, and red/black. LOL They are 18, 20 and 21.

A favorite family tradition: Stuffing the kids Christmas stockings on Christmas Eve with items we put in every year, and a few surprises. The chocolate orange has been the biggest hit, and even our oldest who isn't at home anymore (we have four ranging from toddler to him) asks for it every year.
