Carolyn's Kitchen Giveaway! CLOSED

What makes cooking in the kitchen even better? "A sexy apron of course"! Carolyn's Kitchen wants to bring sexy back to the kitchen. Let's be honest, by the end of the day I don't even want to step foot in the kitchen. I am so exhausted and can barely pull myself to the fridge. These colorful vintage aprons may just solve that problem. New clothes and accessories always do! On a serious note though, these aprons really are hot. Carolyn's has combined the 1940's look with her own modern design. Carolyn said, "I wanted to bring back the glamour, sexiness, and cuteness of a bygone innocent era. The gloves and fabrics are new and nicer - it's a new and improved version of the '40's."

These aprons can make great gifts, especially for that Bride To Be. There is a not only a great selection of different styles of aprons, but Carolyn's Kitchen also has some fun accessories. You can find matching garters and dish gloves.

Now for the giveaway. One winner will win this Sweetheart Orange apron.

To Enter: You MUST head over to Carolyn's Kitchen, look around, then come back and leave a comment on your favorite apron.

My favorite easy recipe are boneless spare ribs in the slow cooker.

I usually cook 3 pkgs of boneless spare ribs, add 2 bottles of barbeque sauce, 1/2 chopped up onion and let them slow cook all day. When they come out of the slow cooker they fall apart...literally I usually need a slotted spoon to take them out.

Here's one of my easy recipes:

Beef Noodle Soup

1 Tbs oil
1 onion, diced
2 carrots, peeled and chopped
1 stalk celery, sliced
1/2 tsp thyme
1 15 ounce can diced tomatoes with juice, or half a can is better if you'll use up the rest later
2 quarts beef broth
1 cup chopped leftover beef (from making broth if you made your own)
2 cups egg noodles or other small pasta
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped, or a few tablespoons dried
salt and pepper to taste

Heat the oil and saute the onion, carrots, and celery a few minutes. This is pretty much how all my soups start! Add the thyme, broth, and meat and bring to a simmer. Cook 15-20 minutes, until the vegetables are tender. Add the pasta or egg noodles and cook as long as the pasta says to cook, stirring now and then.

Stir in the parsley and taste. Add salt and pepper as needed.
