BRIDE WARS and Paper Shouts giveaway!!! CLOSED

Recently I introduced you to Paper Shouts. Paper Shouts make wonderful announcements and invitations for every occasion. They have a great selection and a variety of styles. This makes it easy for for you to find the right style that fits you. So wether you are searching for a couture, traditional, vintage or modern look, Paper Shouts will have what you are looking for.

Recently Paper Shouts and 20th Century Fox partnered together to bring you this incredibly fun giveaway!
How many of you remember the day you were preparing for your own wedding. Maybe you are planning it right now! I have to admit I think I got pretty lucky to not have to face too many issues with in-laws, bridesmaids or other brides. I can't say the same for our two actresses in the movie BRIDE WARS!

BRIDE WARS synopsis:Liv (Kate Hudson) and Emma (Anne Hathaway), best friends since childhood, are always there for each other, through good times and bad. They even become engaged to be married within a few hours of one another. Together they plan their respective weddings, each to take place at New York’s ultimate bridal destination, the Plaza Hotel. But a clerical error and subsequent clash in wedding dates pits the two brides – neither of whom will step aside – against each other, in a competition that quickly escalates into all-out war.

The BRIDE WARS movie is available on Blu-Ray and DVD on April 28th!

So how would you like to not only win a $25 gift certificate form Paper Shouts, but also win the BRIDE WARS DVD! Did I also mention that the winner of this giveaway will also be entered into the Grand Prize drawing on the Paper Shouts website. Prizes include movie memorabilia such as the sunglasses worn in the movie by Kate Hudson and a movie one-sheet signed by Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway and the Grand Prize is a great Mexican vacation—6 nights at the CasaMagna Marriott Cancun Resort and airfare for 2 on AirTran airlines. Here is how to enter!

To Enter: You will need to post a comment about which characters style you relate more to—(Emma’s traditional, romantic style or Liv’s couture, “only the best” approach). Also you will need to visit Paper Shouts and look through their Bridal Shouts. Let me know your favorite Bridal Shout card. You MUST do BOTH of these to have any of your entries count.

*Bonus Entries*
-Add my button
-Subscribe to my feed
-Post this giveaway on your blog, twitter or facebook!
-Share one of your own BRIDE WARS experiences with your own wedding. This can be Bride vs. Mother in Law, Bride vs. Groom, Bride vs. whoever! Share for an extra entry.

Please leave a separate comment for each one and what it is for!

Rules: In order to win, you must provide a valid email. I will be notifying the winner by email. The winner will have 48 hours to respond to me with their name and address. If this information is not received within 48 hours new winner will be chosen. This giveaway is opened to US only!

Special Discount: Paper Shouts is also offering a 15% discount for all viewers. Promo Code: Drift

Giveaway Ends: May 6

Definitely Emma's traditional style! It costs too much money to be any other way :) And I LOVE the Peach Floral Engagement Announcement. So simple and elegant!

One Bride War story from my wedding was between me, myself, and I. You see, we tried to save money by doing all of the food ourself and we were having shrimp cocktail. Well, silly me bought uncooked shrimp instead of cooked and we didn't realize it until we were setting up the buffet. Our main horsdouirve couldn't be served! I still get mad at myself for that and it was 8 years ago.

My bride wars story is between my aunt and my mom. My aunt was planning the wedding and my mom wanted to help but couldn't, it was just really messy.

Bride war story~ between me and my MIL.Between me and my FIL.Between my friends and dh's family.Im sure there is more.
ME & MIL~ I wanted to get married on Valentines Day,my MIL made a big fuss wanting us to "wait".Grrr dh listened to her and we ended up not getting married until July.It was sooooo hot.I think she wanted us to wait forever,he was her baby.14 years later I still wish....

ME & MY FIL~ who was Best Man,was refusing to wear a tux."I don't know why ya'll have to have such a big deal wedding" he said.Grrrrr I had to threaten him to make him wear the tux!

My friends and dh's family~ His cousins and my friends were servers.Well during wedding cake shots my friends informed me that dh's family was trying to run everything and was so rude they refused to serve! Thank goodness some of my family helped out.It was so obvious though ,that serving line was NOT happy.

This scene was like straight out of a movie. I needed fake hydrangea garland for something so I had gone to Michaels. They were super busy and had only two on the shelf. I nabbed them and put them in my handbasket but needed one more. After asking someone to help but getting none, I went up a store ladder and grabbed one on the top of a display that I spotted. Coming down a woman reached into my handbasket and took two out and put them in her cart. I informed her that they were mine and I got them She apologized and said that she thought I worked there, but continued walking without ever giving them back. When I asked for them she said she needed them. I waited for her to look at something else and grabbed them back and ran to the registers and checked out. It was crazy!

I'm more of an Emma in style, but my wedding wasn't traditional at all so maybe I'm a split personality (we got married at the JP surrounded by dead animals mounted on the wall ...romantic, huh? But our celebration party after the honeymoon was gorgeous and not TOO out there). I do like the peapod initial engagment announcements...LOVE the color.

My Bride Wars experience was with the hairdresser the morning of the wedding. I was treating my mom & all my bridesmaids to manicures & styling. Well, the place opened one HOUR later than it was supposed to! We were going to have to rush to have everyone done on time. There were about 3 stylists there. They wanted to do me first. No way!! I said that I would not have a thing done until everyone else was started. I even yelled at her..."I'm the bride! People are going to think I'm beautiful no matter what I look like!". They finally did it my way!

I was so happy, over-the-moon, I was getting along with everyone at my wedding! But I do think my mother and my mother-in-law were a bit competitive about who had the most guests, etc, between the two families.

bargainmom10 said...

Emma’s traditional, romantic style would be the way for me! I have always been a romantic at heart and love the traditional, vintage look. For my own wedding 28 years ago, I borrowed a beautiful vintage dress from my cousin. With my August wedding date being the last of the the three of us girls' June, July, and August weddings that summer, mom and dad's "put aside" wedding money was gone. They told me choose the dress I wanted and they would borrow the money for me to have it. Instead, I chose to borrow my cousin's "traditional, vintage" dress. I not only felt beautiful outside, but more importantly, on the inside. My parents did not have to borrow any money for my wedding, and I had the most BEAUTIFUL. FREE dress in the world.

Hmmm.... I have been thinking about the Bride War expereience that I could have had. My 2 sisters and I got married the same summer; June, July, and August. It was Very Hard trying to pick out a date that would give mom and dad a chance to recuperate between the weddings!! I look back on this time now, and know that if we had not gotten along so well, we would have been able to make a movie from our experience. 3 sisters, 3 months, 3 weddings, 3 dresses, 3 sets of flowers, 3 sets of photos, 3 receptions, 3, 3, 3!!!! I imagine my poor mom and dad were pulling their hair out. I know that they appreciate us working together so that our own version of "Sister Bride Wars" is not coming out on DVD!!

I guess the only thing I can think of that was Bride-Wars-like for my wedding was when some people RSVP'd that they were bringing a guest, even though they didn't have "And guest" included on their invite! This made me upset, since obviously you're paying per head and have a limit, but I know some people don't know that it's bad manners to bring a guest when the invitation didn't specifically say they could.

I also had a horrible dj who I'm pretty sure was drunk! I almost went BRIDE-WARS on him but instead I just enjoyed my reception! :)

My Bride War story would have to be with one of my bridesmaids. We had been best friends since we were like 10. But her being in my wedding brought out a whole other side of her. She was "mad" that I was getting married before her (she didnt even have a steady boyfriend at this time) So she decided she wanted to boss ME THE BRIDE around. Well, needless to say her and I are not that good of friends anymore. You def find out who your true friends are after you get married!
