(CLOSED)Christmas Gift Guide Review & Giveaway: Savvycents Wallet

Lets mix things up today. Many of my readers are women some who may or may not have children. Regardless of who you are or where you are in your life, I am sure most (if not, all) of us realize the importance of saving. Especially after an expensive holiday season, you may be looking into your accounts wondering how all of your money disappeared so quickly.

A few years back my husband and I decided we needed to save more money. This was not only for us but our childrens future. We were fine paying all the bills, but we were spending way too much out of our paychecks. So much in life is unknown especially in this kind of economy. With so much instability we knew we had to be prepared in case of a job loss, family or financial emergency. Then there is our children's future. School isn't getting any cheaper and there may be a time where they may need our help. With all of this on our mind we wanted to find the best way possible to save and not over spend.

The answer for us was the cash budget. For my husband and I this has worked out wonderfully. Within a year we had our emergency fund built up, an account growing for our children and their future, money going towards retirement and more. The change wasn't easy but has been well worth it. It took time to figure out how much cash should go towards each fund. We had Entertainment, Kids, Personal, Gifts, Groceries and Gas. From there we needed to figure out the best way possible to carry all of the cash. Envelopes fell apart too easily and so I found a small file. Even the small file got frusterating since I wasn't able to carry all of my change, credit cards (Yes they are their for emergencies), license and other important belongings as well. I wanted to find the perfect wallet to carry all I needed and in an organize way.

I was so excited when I heard of Savvycents. This wallet has been a life saver in so many ways. Not only has it helped me keep everything organized, but I don't have to carry as much in my purse and it is very stylish. I am amazed at how much this wallet can carry. There are several pockets. 6 pockets for debit cards and store discount cards. On the opposite side there is a place for your driver’s license and a place for your checkbook. Also included with the wallet are pre-made labels for each category as well as blank labels for categories you wish to add.

For those frugal women such as myself I highly recommend a Savvycents Wallets. What adds to it's purpose is it is also fashionable. This would make such a great and unique gift for BFF's, In-laws, mothers, grandmothers and more. This is one gift the receiver will actually gain money from having (if used for it's real purpose)!

The main thing we've done to save money lately is stop eating out so much. I couldn't believe how much we were using when doing it!

I need a Savvycents Wallet because my purse is probably the most unorganized thing about my life!

To save money, I have cut out most of the paper products in my home and am using cloth instead - no more paper towels, paper napkins, baby wipes or bathroom wipes. Great for the environment, too!

I would really like one of these because I had one up until yesterday, when my purse was stolen. The SavvyCents wallet was my absolute favorite wallet and it makes me so mad that it was stolen :( I only had it for about 3 months, but now I wouldn’t get any other type!

I would LOVE on of these, I'm getting tired of my envelopes that keep falling apart! I would choose PINK :)

Marcy said...

I save money, we have been setting a monthly budget and using cash as much as possible. Also, couponing has helped alot too!

Anonymous said...

I cannot tell you how many times I have cut coupons for my grocery shopping and then left them at home. With this wallet I will be guaranteed to remember them!

ACMommy3 said...

Wow, this is one amazing wallet! I would love to try it out, because trying to keep an envelope system isn't always nice and neat.

ACMommy3 said...

To save money, I try to pull out only a certain amount of cash weekly and stick to that amount. I find that usually I can motivate myself to have money left over and that cash goes into a funtime envelope. :-)

I actually want it for my friend who just finished the Dave Ramsey course. She didnt like any of the cash carrying methods she has tried. This looks perfect.

Currently, my coupons go into a letter envelope and then shoved in my purse. Needless to say, I have to replace the envelope often because it gets torn up and my coupons are never organized. This would be great!

My organizational skills are nowhere near where they need to be. These days I tend to misplace coupons and forget where I've tucked what, and this would help tremendously with those issues.

What DON'T I do to save money? I coupon, do rebates, scour the ads, only get a lot of items when they are free (or they pay me to buy them), etc.

Being unemployed with minimal unemployment insurance for a year trying to support a family of five means we are living on the bare minimum. It's working okay, but I've done everything I can and then some to save every penny possible.

THANKS. tripsma at gmail dot com
