KinderCare Learning Centers
As a mom of a now 5 year old, I went through the stress a couple of years ago trying to find the right pre-school for my son. During the process I would call around and ask several questions regarding the school and the teacher/teachers. If I was interested, I would visit the school and see for myself if I felt comfortable sending my child there. Call me over protective, but I wanted to make sure my child had a good first experience in school and also would be prepared for when he entered kindergarten. I learned through this that it wasn't easy finding the right school.
I remember one particular school I was about to enroll my school in. Since I was in the area I decided I would stop by to check it out before I signed him up. When I first walked in the building I was happy to see there were a couple of different classrooms. This separated the ages. Then there was a play area with some fun toys. What stood out though was how outdated the toys were and the building. It seemed like it really needed to be cleaned and updated. Even worse was that the teachers seemed to close to expiring. They were some of the oldest teachers I had seen and didn't even crack a smile. They moved slow and I wondered if they would ever be able to keep up with my kids. After this visit I continued my search for another preschool.
I feel lucky to have finally found a school I felt confident in. I loved the teacher and even better my son was always excited to go. The teacher sent me home with a note each school day and told me what the children learned for the day. This gave me the opportunity to teach my child at home and assure he retains the information. We then had worksheets and a homework chart where my son could receive a prize after completing so many worksheets. I felt my sons preschool really focused on finding ways to interest children in learning and in guiding the parent to do so as well. We have to be mindful that the school can only do so much and as a parent it is up to you to do the rest. It was great to have a school support both the parent and child.
KinderCare Learning Centers
I would like to introduce you to a school which prides itself on it's teachers and education. KinderCare Learning Centers are found nationwide and tailor their classes by age groups. You can enroll your child starting as an infant and continue through age school. Kindercare is said to help prepare your child before they enter Kindergarten, but also gives the older child a place to study and get homework done after school. You can see what else they have to offer for your child and their age group under "programs and curriculum".
What stood out to me was the facts on their teachers:
Highly Trained Teachers
KinderCare Learning Centers devote more time and resources to teacher training than any other childcare provider.
Low Teacher to Student Ratios
Our teacher-to-student ratios allow teachers to focus on the individual learning styles and needs of each child in our center.
Partnering with Families
Our teachers and staff are passionate about forming a strong partnership with you to ensure the best possible experience for your child. Teachers provide daily communication with families and seek to understand your unique needs.
With the information I gathered from the site I would recommend finding the closest KinderCare Learning Center to you and personally going in to ask questions and check it out. You can find more information on their site.
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of KinderCare Learning Centers and received a gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate.”
