Michael Buble "Crazy Love" review!

I had heard of Michael Buble before and did enjoy of his songs "Everything" and "Home", but for some reason I never really looked into any of his other work. When One2One contacted me about reviewing his newest cd, "Crazy Love", I was interested. I knew several of the songs he chose for this album, such as"Georgia On My Mind". I loved the variety of eras he chose to spotlight and figured I would probably appreciate the cd. I agreed to do the review and was sent my own free copy of "Crazy Love" to review.

Ok, so I didn't just enjoy this cd, I LOVED it! Why I hadn't become a fan sooner beats me. Michael Buble has one of the sexiest voices around. His voice is also very mesmerizing. His latest cd, "Crazy Love" was released October 9th. Each song seems to speak to the helpless romantic in me. One of my favorite songs is "Haven't Met You Yet".


I highly recommend this cd to anyone. Below is a list of the songs included on "Crazy Love".

Kaskey Kids review!

I have been so excited to share with you this awesome toy. I was recently introduced to Kaskey Kids through another blogger (Angie from "A Simple Kind Of LIfe"). Kaskey Kids was founded by Bruce and Christy Kaskey in 2001. Christy took her children's love for sports and her brothers love for action figures and created these fun sport action figures. She felt these would be the perfect indoor toy for any boy or girl who loves sports.

Review:



Kaskey Kids offered me a free product to review. I had my son select which sport figures he would like to have. After making a hard decision between all the sports he loves, he selected the "Baseball Guys" figurines. This set included all of these items.

My husband has always been into sports and would love for our son to be as well. My husband has found it a little challenging to explain sports to our action hero toy fanatic 4 year old. It's not that our son doesn't enjoy playing sports, he does. The problem is he has a hard time focusing and listening to their rules. He does however focus well when playing with his action figures. On the other hand my husband has never really been into action figures. I hoped this would be a great toy to involve both of them and their likes.


My son loves his "Baseball Guys" figures. My husband has finally found a toy him and his son can enjoy together. I personally love watching my husband teach my son the rules of baseball, while playing and spending time with my son. This is such a perfect toy for a sport fanatic and his son.

I am a huge Beatles fan and love hearing how different artist portray their songs. I thought the classical twist was very relaxing and entertaining.

I think anyone who is a fan of these classic songs as well as classical music, will enjoy Joshua Bell's cd.

Brandi Carlile "Give Up The Ghost" review

Brandi Carlile “Give Up The Ghost” is a wonderful new cd recently released in September. It is said that "If you like KT Tunstall, Indigo Girls, Missy Higgins and Rachael Yamagata then you will LOVE Brandi Carlile". I use to listen to Indigo Girls and enjoyed their tunes. I can't say I have heard these other artist, but will say after listening to "Give Up the Ghost" I am going to check them out. This wonderful new release is full soulful music with a mix of indie, folk and pop. I love Brandi Carlile's voice and the lyrics she uses in her songs. I give this cd 5 out of 5 stars. I truly love it!

"Spice Up You Life" cookbook review and giveaway! CLOSED

I tend to become a very boring cook at my house. I get very nervous trying new things and adding any ingredients I can't pronounce. My husband on the other hand would love for me to take more risk in my cooking. Spaghetti and teriyaki chicken just aren't doing it for him anymore. He was very excited to hear that I was contacted by Bindu Grandhi the author and creator of "Spice Up your Life" to do a review on her cookbook. I was a little nervous knowing how picky I am with the reviews I choose and the food I like. But my love for my husband won and I agreed to do the review. I literally was crossing my fingers that these recipes would really be worth my while.

I decided to try the the "Chicken Cutlet with Tamarind Honey Dipping Sauce" pg. 98. The recipe was pretty simple, which was great news for me. It was really fun being introduced to so many new spices and ingredients. There was one ingredient for used in the dipping sauce that I couldn't find. However, I found a great way to substitute it on the Internet. This was the tamarind juice. Instead, I just combined 1/4 Cup orange juice and 2 TBSP of lime Juice. When everything was finally prepared, the food looked delicious and smelled great. As for the actual taste, my whole family loved it. My husband was very impressed and added this meal to his lift of favorites. I also loved the dish. The dipping sauce had great flavor mixed with a sweet and spicy taste. I also think the mix of all the spices really helped create the excellent taste.



What is great about these recipes is they all seem to include a great selection of spice to add to the taste. Before getting this book I thought it was an indian cookbook. Although there is some influence these recipes are actually geared towards healthy food with great flavor. Bindu Grandhi also got an early endorsement from Chef Emeril Lagasse!

Review:
I am literally screaming out that "I Love Orglamix". I went with the "Pink Chocolate" collection. This included the colors moonstone, silk and sandalwood. The colors looked beautiful in their jar, but there were I noticed some sparkles. I was then worried that the eye shadows would be too shimmery for me. As I applied the makeup I was pleasantly surprised. There was just the perfect amount of shimmer to help my eyes stand out. These colors were beautiful together. Instead of finding an eye shadow to match my outfit, I am constantly looking for an outfit to match my new favorite eye shadows. These shadows really do blend easily and last. My youngest just turned 2. This gave me the perfect opportunity to take a peak at one of Posh Party Box gift boxes. Posh Party Box sent my little girl the "Princess Gift Box". Review:
I was so excited when CoverYourHair.com asked me to review their products. I was sent the "Silver Flower Pre Tied Headband" and a "Cable Winter Pull on Chaponne with Visor". When it comes to headbands I seem to always have a problem with them falling off. Another problem is they sometimes seem to be too tight or uncomfortable. The headband I was sent was the opposite of this. It was very comfortable and stayed in place. Another feature I liked about the headband was how you can adjust the width. You can easily fold the head band to create a simple thinner band or you can spread the fabric out which will give the headband more of a bandanna look. I like how I have those options available. As for the Chappone w/visor. This is perfect for this coming fall/winter. It will not only keep your head warm but looking fashionable.

Review:
This last year I had purchased a Melissa & Doug "wooden puzzle" for my son. This has become one of our favorite puzzles. My husband and I were very impressed with the puzzles make and durability. When I learned Melissa & Doug made more then just puzzles, I was really excited. I was even more ecstatic when I was contacted about reviewing a one of their products from the Melissa & Doug "play food sets". I was really interested to compare another one of their products with the puzzle we had at home.

My children were sent the "Pizza Party". Included was six slice-able pieces, a pizza cutter, spatula, and over 50 toppings all organized in an adorable pizza tray. Each of the pieces has velcro attached so that they can be placed on the pizza and stay in place while the children plays with it. This also gives them the chance to be creative and change toppings. My children personally love how the sides of the pizza include velcro. This allows them to use the pizza cutter giving them the feel that they are really slicing the pizza. We all have had a lot of fun making pizza and serving it to each other. Through this review My family and I have grown to trust the Melissa & Doug brand. I am excited to purchase more of from the "Melissa & Doug Food Play"in the future. I would espcially love to purchase this Melissa & Doug "Grocery Cart". I
give this review 5 stars for the durability, entertainment and value.

Recently I was introduced to Ebeanstalk.com. This is a wonderful site that will help you find the right product for your child and their age group. It is also nice to see them learn to play together. Because of the quality, I know this toy will be around for a long time.

I am already brainstorming about what to get my toddlers for Christmas. One thing I think both of them would enjoy is a play kitchen. Before I make any purchases though, I want to know what I am buying and know I am getting it for the best price. This can demand hours of research on my part. PlasmaCar Mega Review (The Classy Closet Review Panel)

Finding a toy that the whole family can enjoy isn't always easy. I think most of my frustration comes from my almost 2 year old, because she is too small for any toys with wheels. Her legs are also too small to reach the pedals. This has caused many melt downs in our home and during outside play. She loves shadowing her big brother and doing what ever he can do. Although cute, it can be a pain.

The Review:
It was all fairly easy to put together, although I did put the back wheels on wrong at first. That was caused by readers error. My husband is still giving me a hard time for messing up with such easy directions. Everything was very easy to follow and even had pictures to guide you as you went. There really wasn't much to attach other then the the wheels and steering.


My kids love the PlasmaCar. it is great because my youngest can even get in on the fun. She may not understand that you don't need your feet to move it, but she loves it anyways. My son on the other hand thinks the PlasmaCar is the coolest thing since bikes. He loves riding it down on our sidewalk, which has no slope. He thinks it is a race car or something. It is so simple to use and so kid friendly. All of his friends like to take turns on the PlasmaCar as well. The crazy thing is even I can ride it. For adults it works best on a smooth surface, but it still works. Now our only problem is there is only one PlasmaCar, two kids and two adults. You can see what that leads to ;0)
